Metal C-Ring Seal
Spring energized metal seals put an inner spring in a metal C-ring so residual load survives rough flanges and cycling, where a hollow metal O-ring often flattens. See the metal C-ring seal and the metal C-ring seal guide.
Spring Energized Metal C-ring is an enhanced version of the standard Metal C-Ring, designed to be applied in extreme working conditions. This seal features a metallic "C" substrate with an internal helical spring that provides a consistent mechanical seating load, making it ideal for applications requiring the lowest possible leakage rates.
Due to its special structure, the Spring Energized Metal C-Ring is often utilized as a hermetic seal in high-pressure (up to 1500 bar) and vacuum environments where superior sealing performance is critical. It operates reliably across extreme temperature ranges from cryogenic lows to 800°C.
