Product Description

A metal C-ring is a high-performance, resilient static seal featuring a C-shaped cross-section engineered to provide high-integrity sealing in extreme environments. It is designed as an evolution of the traditional metal O-ring, offering higher spring-back and requiring lower seating loads to achieve an effective seal.

Self-Energizing Principle: The seal is installed with the opening facing the system pressure, allowing the hydrostatic force to supplement the mechanical load. This system-pressure energization increases contact stress against mating surfaces, making it suitable for moderate load applications.

Due to its specialized C-shaped structure and material composition, Metal C-rings are ideal for extreme conditions, including cryogenic temperatures, high vacuum environments, and high-pressure systems where elastomeric seals would fail.
